YAY! first deviation of the year! 8D I am a dummy!
I've been working on this piece for...AGES!
The main idea was to draw some kind of original character based on Red Riding Hood but as a demon-killer samurai or something like that xDDD.
The pose and the wolf gave me a lot of headaches, but the worst thing is that it has so many layers that Sai started to get memoty failures, so I had to split it in two files. Hopefully, photoshop didn't gave me such problems xD.

Right now I'm trying to edit the video files on Camtasia, but they seem to be to heavy and it crashes a lot! I'll update this post with the video and some screenshots from Tumblr.

[EDIT]
Speed Pain Video!

This image is a well-executed fantasy scene that draws from various themes and cultures. The woman's figure is well-proportioned, her stance appears natural and her costume is rich in stylized, yet culturally relevant with the presented icons of the Japanese fashion of older times and mythology. All the visible elements are clean, and the colors are balanced.

This is also a very standard approach to fantasy art, and so it lacks a lot of visual potency. While the colors are balanced, the image as a whole feels flat and bland. I can see that some effort was made to do some shading, but without enough of a contrast between light and dark areas, the whole product is lackluster.

This shows you have excellent command of composition, color theory, and drawing ability. I recommend that you practice various different perspectives and angles, along with learning to gauge line weight changes and shading technique.

It's a job well done, so don't give up. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/m/m…" width="15" height="15" alt=":meow:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="578" title="Meow :3"/>
